ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT.
Our approach to making the Finanze Strategy website and client communications usable by as many people as reasonably possible.
Finanze Strategy aims to make this website, our enquiry routes and our client communications accessible, understandable and usable for as many people as reasonably possible.
1. OUR COMMITMENT
We are committed to treating people fairly and with respect. We recognise that a person may experience barriers because of disability, health, age, bereavement, stress, language, literacy, numeracy, technology, limited property experience or another circumstance.
Accessibility and vulnerability are contextual. Needs may be temporary or permanent and may change during an enquiry, transaction or complaint.
2. STANDARDS AND APPROACH
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as a reference point when improving website structure, navigation, contrast, keyboard use, text alternatives, responsive presentation and readability.
This statement does not claim that every page, document, embedded service or third-party tool has been independently audited or fully conforms to a particular WCAG level.
3. WEBSITE FEATURES WE AIM TO SUPPORT
- Clear page titles, headings and content hierarchy.
- Consistent header, footer and legal navigation.
- Readable text, strong colour contrast and responsive layouts.
- Information that is not communicated by colour alone.
- Keyboard access to primary links, buttons, forms and menus where reasonably possible.
- Alternative text for meaningful images.
- Form labels, visible focus states and understandable validation requirements.
- Zoom and reflow across common screen sizes.
- Plain-language explanations where specialist property or finance terminology is used.
4. KNOWN LIMITATIONS
Some older content, downloaded documents, embedded booking services, mapping features, media, third-party forms or external websites may not meet every accessibility need.
Third-party services are controlled by their respective providers. We cannot guarantee their accessibility, but we will consider a reasonable alternative route where one is available.
5. FORMS AND CONTACT ROUTES
Our website forms are intended to provide a clear route for enquiries. Where a form is difficult to use, you may ask for an alternative communication method.
Please avoid including unnecessary sensitive personal data in a general enquiry. Where information about an adjustment or vulnerability is relevant, it will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
6. COMMUNICATION ADJUSTMENTS
Where appropriate and reasonably practicable, we may:
- Provide clearer or more detailed explanations.
- Allow additional time to read, consider or respond.
- Communicate in smaller or simpler stages.
- Confirm key points in writing.
- Use an alternative communication method.
- Arrange calls at practical times.
- Permit an authorised representative to assist or act on a person’s behalf.
- Provide a document in a different accessible format where reasonably possible.
Adjustments will be considered proportionately according to the person’s needs and the circumstances. We will not make assumptions and may sensitively ask what support would be helpful.
7. INDEPENDENT ADVICE AND SUPPORT
Where a decision has legal, tax, financial, valuation or technical consequences, we encourage independent professional advice. Where appropriate, we may also signpost a person to a relevant support organisation or allow an authorised representative to participate.
8. RECORDING ADJUSTMENTS
Where an accessibility need or adjustment is relevant to an enquiry, engagement or complaint, we may record the request and the agreed action clearly and factually. This helps maintain consistent communication and demonstrate fair treatment.
Such information will be handled sensitively and only where necessary.
9. ACCESSIBILITY IN COMPLAINTS
Our Complaints Procedure can be adjusted where appropriate. Additional care may be taken during an investigation, communication may be adapted and the impact of vulnerability may be considered when assessing the complaint and outcome.
The underlying complaints process and independent redress rights remain available.
10. REPORTING AN ACCESSIBILITY ISSUE
If you experience difficulty with a page, form, document or feature, please use the Contact page and tell us:
- The page, feature or document causing difficulty.
- The nature of the barrier.
- The device, browser or assistive technology being used where relevant.
- The alternative format, communication method or adjustment requested.
We will review the issue and explain the reasonable steps we can take.
11. ENFORCEMENT AND COMPLAINTS
If you are dissatisfied with our response, you may use our Complaints Procedure. Eligible property-related complaints may ultimately be referred to The Property Ombudsman after our internal process.
12. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
We review website design, content, forms and communication practices as services develop and as issues are identified. Accessibility improvements may be prioritised according to user impact, feasibility, legal requirements and available technology.
13. CONTACT AND REVIEW
Requests for support, alternative formats or accessibility adjustments should be submitted through our Contact page.
This statement is reviewed periodically and following relevant feedback, complaints, website changes or guidance.
